We decided to move our meeting time and place to Sunday at 12pm so everyone could come and work together in the library. Unfortunately, Shaden was not able to make it, but during this time, we discussed in more depth our plans to communicate with different incineration plants in Sweden. Brandon has already emailed one of these plants and been given the 2014 and 2015 collected waste and energy data for that plant. Kean has also started making a powerpoint for the final presentation as well. Today, we are mainly focussing on researching our divided up topics as mentioned in an older post.

For our ENGR 103 project, we will be looking into the Swedish Trash Incineration programs. The country generates large amounts of electricity from this process and even imports trash to keep up with demands. We will research the environmental effects of this process as well as the environmental aspects of transporting trash into the country. If our research shows that the incineration of trash is more environmentally friendly than the use of landfills, we will look into its use in Philadelphia.
